At K’SerraSerra®️ US, we aim to provide compassionate, ethical, and professional emotional support and spiritual care to all individuals seeking our services. 

This Contract of Care outlines the principles and standards that guide our interactions, as well as the responsibilities of both caregivers and care seekers.

Professional Code of Conduct

At K’SerraSerra®️ US, our team is committed to maintaining the highest standards of professionalism.

Our Professional Code of Conduct includes the following principles:

      • Integrity: We conduct ourselves with honesty, transparency, and respect in all interactions.

      • Confidentiality: We protect the privacy of those we serve, adhering strictly to legal and ethical guidelines.

      • Competence: We engage in continuous learning and professional development to ensure the highest quality of care.

      • Accountability: We take responsibility for our actions and decisions, ensuring they align with our ethical obligations.

Care Code of Ethics

Our Care Code of Ethics corresponds to the best practices in healthcare settings and guides our approach to care:

      • Respect for Dignity: We respect the inherent dignity, worth, and rights of all individuals.

      • Beneficence and Non-Maleficence: We strive to do good and avoid harm in all our care practices.

      • Justice: We provide care equitably, ensuring fair treatment and avoiding discrimination.

      • Autonomy: We respect the autonomy of those we serve, empowering them to make informed decisions about their care.

Limits of Confidentiality

We are committed to maintaining the confidentiality of the information shared with us. However, there are certain legal obligations where confidentiality may be limited:

Mandated Reporting (State of Colorado and U.S.):

CareGivers Sexual Misconduct and Anti-Harassment Agreement

Our organization has a zero-tolerance policy for any form of sexual misconduct or harassment:

      • Sexual Misconduct: Any form of sexual misconduct, including inappropriate comments, advances, or actions, is strictly prohibited.

      • Anti-Harassment: Harassment of any kind, whether based on race, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic, will not be tolerated.

      • Reporting Mechanisms: Any incidents of sexual misconduct or harassment should be reported immediately. We will take prompt and appropriate action in response to any such reports.

Limits of Expertise

Our caregivers are trained and qualified in various areas, but there are limits to the services we can provide:

      • Mental Health: We are not equipped to provide crisis intervention or long-term therapy for severe mental illness. In cases of suicide risk, severe depression, or other mental health crises, we will refer individuals to appropriate mental health professionals or crisis intervention services.

      • Youth or Elder Abuse: If there are concerns about abuse involving minors or elders, we will report these to the appropriate authorities and refer individuals to specialized services for further support.

      • Medical Emergencies: We are not a medical facility. In the event of a medical emergency, individuals will be referred to a hospital or appropriate healthcare provider.

Under Age/Disabled Individuals

Special considerations apply when providing care to minors or individuals with disabilities:

      • Consent: For individuals under the age of 18 or those unable to consent due to disability, consent for care must be obtained from a parent, guardian, or legally authorized representative.

      • Care and Communication: We strive to communicate effectively and respectfully with individuals who have disabilities, making reasonable accommodations as needed to ensure they receive appropriate care.

      • Protection and Advocacy: We are committed to advocating for the rights and well-being of underage and disabled individuals, ensuring they receive care in a safe and supportive environment.

By engaging with our services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Contract of Care. You agree to abide by these terms and understand the responsibilities and limits of the care provided by K’SerraSerra®️ US.
