“Notice of Non-Profit Service Scope and Limitations” Agreement

Thank you for considering K'SerraSerra® US, a community nonprofit that offers free to low-cost comprehensive emotional support and psychosocial care to those in need, especially persons belonging to vulnerable and underserved communities, via our online platform.

Please review the following scope of service and limitations to understand the support and care services we provide:

1. Community-Driven Nonprofit

We are a community-based nonprofit organization committed to enhancing the emotional and psychosocial well-being of vulnerable and underserved global community members. Our human-centered, multicultural, and pluralistic approach equips those most in need with the support and tools necessary to effectively manage chronic, systemic, interpersonal, cultural, environmental, and trauma-related emotional and psycho-social stressors.

2. Service Providers

Our support team includes licensed professionals (e.g., social workers, chaplains, and public health practitioners), graduate students under supervision, trained volunteers, and other team members. While some team members hold professional licenses, others contribute as part of supervised training or through specialized certifications. Regardless of role, every provider is equipped to deliver empathetic, nonjudgmental emotional support and psychosocial care in alignment with our mission.

3. Service Limitations

  • No Diagnosis or Medical Treatment: We do not diagnose or treat psychiatric, psychological, or serious mental health conditions, nor do we prescribe medication for physical or mental health needs.

  • Non-Psychiatric/Psychological/Psychotherapeutic: While our services include emotional support and psychosocial care, they are not substitutes for psychiatric, psychological, or psychotherapeutic treatment(s). If you require these services, we encourage you to seek out a psychiatric, psychological, or psychotherapeutic professional. Our resource page offers referrals to hotlines that may help you better connect with a psychologist, psychiatrist, or psychotherapist in your area.

  • Emergency Situations: If you are experiencing suicidal thoughts, severe mental health crises, or medical emergencies, we strongly encourage you to contact emergency services (e.g., 911), the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline, or other crisis hotlines listed on our resource page. Our services are not equipped to address serious mental or physical health emergencies.

4. Legal Disclaimer

By engaging with and using our services, you acknowledge and accept that you have read and understood this “Notice of Non-Profit Service Scope and Limitations” agreement and agree to be bound by the terms outlined in this legal disclaimer as follows:

These services are not intended to replace treatment and interventions provided by psychiatrists, psychologists, or psychotherapeutic professionals. • Voluntary Participation: By choosing our services, you agree to participate voluntarily and understand the scope and limitations of the emotional support and care we provide within our non-profit context.

  • Liability Release: By using our services, you acknowledge and accept that they are provided on an 'as-is' basis. • Indemnity Clause: You agree to indemnify and hold harmless its founder, licensed professionals (e.g., social workers, chaplains, and public health practitioners), graduate students under supervision, trained volunteers, and all other team members from any claims, damages, or legal expenses resulting from your use of our services.
